Dealers’ Dock

Welcome sailors! The ship has docked and dealers are all ready to sell their wares to you! The Dealers’ Dock is the place to be if you want to buy or sell your furry merchandise, goods or commissions. The artists and dealers are looking forward to welcome you, so stop by and see the loot on offer.

For Sailors (Buyers)

The Dealers’ Dock will be open on Friday and Saturday – the exact hours and dealers will be announced closer to the convention. Please keep in mind that dealers are the ones performing sales, and as such, we can’t inform you upfront what payment methods they will have available to you.

For Merchants (Sellers)

To apply for the Dealers’ Dock, please mark yourself as a dealer when registering for the convention. There is no extra fee for being a dealer. We’ll reach out to you afterwards with a form to fill out so we can get to know you a bit better and check what treasure you plan to sell.

The Dealers’ Dock will take place in the foyer of the congress centre. While this guarantees you the best possible amount of visibility, it also means you can’t leave your items at the tables overnight. Speaking of tables…they are 160x60cm big (if you would need more than one, that can be arranged as well, depending on space availability).

Depending on the amount of applications we receive, we may perform a rotation of artists on each day, meaning you may not have a table available on both days.

The fine print

This year GoldenHorn will host a small Dealers’ Den (also called the Dealers’ Dock):

  1. Registration requirements: all dealers must have a registered business (or similar entity, which allows them to perform sales) to participate in the Dealers’ Den. You will have to provide the organisers with the complete business information. Proof of business registration may be requested during the application process.
  2. Table availability and schedule: the Dealer’s Den will be located in the convention Foyer. There is a limited availability of tables in the dedicated space.
If all the available tables are filled, dealers will be assigned on a rotating schedule by days of the convention to ensure fair access for all registered dealers. If even those are filled, only some of the dealers will be chosen for a spot in the Dealers’ Den.
  3. Set-up and tear-down times: dealers are required to adhere to set-up and tear-down times as specified by the convention staff. Failure to comply may result in forfeiture of table privileges for future conventions.
  4. Display regulations: dealers must maintain a professional and respectful display at all times. Displays should not obstruct walkways or impede the flow of traffic within the foyer.
No use of AI art is allowed.
NSFW (Not Safe For Work) content can be sold in a discreet manner. It should not be openly displayed where it can be seen by everyone. Such items can be shown upon request by individuals browsing the stall. Dealers may indicate the presence of NSFW content through appropriate signage or labelling. Any nudity on display must be censored appropriately.
  5. Product guidelines: all products sold by dealers must adhere to these guidelines. Items that violate these guidelines will not be permitted for sale:
    • All products sold by dealers must be in compliance with local laws and regulations.
    • Items for sale should be related to the furry fandom and appeal to its target audience.
    • Products featuring discriminatory content are strictly prohibited.
    • Any copyrighted material used in products must be appropriately licensed or fall under fair use guidelines.
    • Counterfeit or unauthorised reproductions of branded merchandise are not permitted.
    • Dealers are encouraged to offer a diverse range of products to cater to the interests of convention attendees.
  1. Sales and transactions: dealers are responsible for conducting all sales and transactions themselves. The organisers will not be held liable for any disputes or issues arising from sales conducted by dealers.
  2. Behavioural expectations: dealers are expected to conduct themselves in a courteous and professional manner at all times. Any behaviour deemed inappropriate or disruptive by convention staff may result in expulsion from the convention premises.
  3. Liability waiver: by participating as a dealer at the convention, you agree to absolve the convention organizers, staff, and venue from any legal responsibility linked to your involvement.
  4. Compliance with local laws: dealers must comply with all local laws and regulations, including those related to sales tax, permits, and licences.
Please note that any and all additional obligations like trade fair and exhibition visa, sales tax or income tax declarations have to be fulfilled by the dealer. The organisers expect all dealers to be fully aware of their responsibilities in accordance with applicable law in Slovenia as well as their country of origin and will neither assist nor advise on these matters. For questions related to selling in Slovenia, we suggest you reach out to the Financial administration of Slovenia directly: https://www.fu.gov.si/en/
  5. Enforcement: convention staff reserve the right to enforce these rules and regulations as necessary. Failure to comply may result in penalties including, but not limited to, removal from the convention premises and forfeiture of table privileges. Dealers’ Den staff have a say on all matters. Decisions by the organisers are final.
